What is a Digi pack?

Digi packs are a type of packaging for CDs made out of card or heavy paper. Digipacks were first created by MeadWestvaco and are Patented. Digipacks often consist of a gatefold (flip open like a book) like example 1 below. or can have three parts like Example 2. This type of packaging is often used for special edition CD albums or premium packaging DVDs.
